Major Financial Player Gives Unexpected Nod to Emerging Cryptocurrency in Exclusive Advisory Panel

In a significant development for the crypto industry, Ondo Finance, a prominent player in tokenization, has been selected to join the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation's (DTCC) working group. This group, comprised of over 50 leading companies, including financial giants BlackRock, JPMorgan, and Goldman Sachs, as well as cryptocurrency firms Circle and Robinhood, aims to establish standards for tokenization in US capital markets. With DTCC holding a staggering $114 trillion in assets and facilitating $3.7 quadrillion in annual transactions, its foray into tokenization is poised to revolutionize the financial landscape.

As a key partner in this initiative, Ondo Finance will contribute to the design of DTCC's tokenization service, which seeks to bridge the gap between traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi). The working group's diverse membership underscores the collaborative effort to create a framework for integrating tokenized assets into the mainstream financial system. According to DTCC CEO Frank La Salle, this initiative marks a major milestone in the company's vision to transform the way markets operate, with tokenization expected to enhance liquidity, transparency, and efficiency.

The DTCC's tokenization service, set to launch in October 2026, will enable the conversion of real-world assets into digital tokens, affording investors the same rights and protections as traditional assets. A limited production phase is scheduled to commence in July 2026, paving the way for the service's full rollout. Throughout this process, DTCC will work closely with the working group, including Ondo Finance, to ensure a seamless and successful integration of tokenized assets into the financial ecosystem.
