Crypto.com Secures UAE SVF License to Enable Regulated Crypto Payments

Crypto.com, a comprehensive, centralized cryptocurrency platform to accelerate global adoption of blockchain, is excited to announce that it has become the first Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) to get a Stored Value Facilities (SVF) license from the Central Bank of the UAE. This legislation process enables Crypto.com’s partnership with the Dubai Department of Finance to facilitate residents in the UAE to pay government fees with virtual assets. All financial settlements will be conducted in UAE dirhams, or dirham-backed stablecoins only via the SVF framework for the purpose of enabling secure payments and supporting the Dubai Cashless Strategy.
